BERCO Deutschland - Rollers
BERCO Rollers
BERCO rollers are designed and manufactured for long service life, a feature resulting in low hourly operating costs. Through-hardened or surface hardened rollers, using the quenching method, promote long wear and facilitate high structural strength and resistance to deformation. The BERCO seals guarantee permanent lubrication for optimum durability and low costs per hour of operation.
Quality pays
- Forged in two halves to achieve optimum material structure
- Specific low alloy Boron steel for maximum hardness
- Through-hardened or surface hardened rollers, using the quenching method, increase wear resistance and ensure optimum hardness of the core and the inner body surfaces for high impact and fatigue resistance under the toughest operating conditions.
- Induction and surface heat treated axles
- Large bearings and bushings for maximum resistance to radial loads
- Large oil capacity and permanent lubrication over full service life
- Maintenance-free for maximum durability and first-class operation under all conditions
- Exact design and accurate machining for precise seating and "perfect-fit" final assembly of the components
- Easy to repair

Quality components for rollers
- Bearing bushing holders: made of cast steel, accurately machined, ensure just the right seating and high resistance to radial loads.
- Bimetal bushings: the steel outer shell prevents deformation and guarantees a perfect fit. The high-grade inner bronze bearing surface features excellent frictional properties for longer service life.
- Collars: made of high resistance spheroidal cast iron, BERCO collars provide maximum toughness and resistance to radial loads. Elaborate processing and stringent quality control ensure the collars sit perfectly with the other components.
- Axles: produced from low alloy forging steel; the BERCO axles are machined with maximum accuracy in a single, fully automatic process. The surfaces making contact with the bushings are appropriately induction hardened to HRC > 55. Subsequent fine finishing of the top surface guarantees longer service life.
- High-performance seals: of eminent importance for the durability of the roller; produced from high alloy cast steel (or special alloy steel), induction hardened to HRC > 63 and accurate surface treatment (lapping) of the contact surfaces. High grade Viton or silicone seals ( "O" rings ), coupled with perfect fit manufacture of the steel rings, guarantee reliable sealing under all operating conditions.
